Hiking takes you to greater heights worthy of Instagram.
The view is majestic, the surroundings are nothing short of spectacle but what if a ghost decided to photobomb your moment?
Redditor SlicedUpBeef recently shared a photograph that’s enough to give us the creeps for a lifetime. He wrote, “So a little backstory. Around a month ago, my friend and I went hiking at Dundas Peak in Hamilton, Ontario. She suggested this location because her cousin went there a few days before us and posted an Instagram of him sitting on the edge of a cliff looking over Hamilton and the Niagara Escarpment. When we got there, we took turns recreating the photo.”
It took her friend a month to notice that something was seriously off about the photo they uploaded on Instagram. “Today, she messaged me when she noticed something obscure in the background in her cousin’s Instagram. Way below the edge of the trail, where the slope is too steep to stand on, there appears to be a thin person standing unnaturally straight with no visible face. I know you’re probably thinking that is probably just a brave hiker, but trust me, that spot is completely inaccessible,” the redditor recalled.
They weren’t kidding around. There was a thin and tall figure standing in the background, seemingly gazing at the hikers without a visible face. Website Viral Nova even uploaded a photo of the place during a different time of the year for the sake of comparison. There’s no way someone can hike through that area!
In unfailing curiosity, SlicedUpBeef called on others if they have a similar photo saying: “Maybe it isn’t a person? But I’m not sure what else it can be. I was hoping those who have also been to Dundas Peak and have taken a similar picture could share it. Hopefully we can figure out what the hell we’re looking at.”
