We live in a fast-paced world where we are slaves to technology and people’s demands.
Often, we forget that there’s more to life than a 9-5 job and meeting deadlines.
A trip somewhere far and incredibly different may just be what you need to refuel. Bali, for one, is one of the most magical places on Earth. Its natural beauty, generous people, and laid-back atmosphere are what sets it apart from the rest.
Here’s what we’ve learned during our trip to that could inspire you to book that one-way ticket.
- Life shouldn’t be complicated.. and calculated
We measure our life’s worth with the amount of money we have in our accounts or the amount of work we get done in a day. However, all of that seems so trivial when we made our trip here. In Bali, it’s living in moments and living each at a slower, more appreciative phase. We highly recommend you leave your watch behind and get lost in time.
- Stop taking little things for granted
Most of the time, we like to complain about how tiny our apartment is and how lavish and rich our despicable co-worker is. When we went to Bali, everything changed. From frequent squatty toilets to lack of air conditioning and no ice in your beverage, we began to appreciate the little things in life.
- Not all strangers are dangers
It’s not your fault you’ve become distant and defensive to just about every stranger you come across with. The world is cruel but it’s not always the case. The people of Bali are some of the kindest, most generous and warm people we’ve ever met. Ask for directions and they’ll gladly walk you there, without them looking at their watch.
